What is the Summer Reading Challenge?

The Shire of Dardanup Summer Reading Challenge encourages eager young readers to discover new stories while maintaining their literacy over the school holidays.

Through Shire of Dardanup Library Services, they can explore a world of adventures with a range of challenges and activities available in our libraries and online. There will be give-aways, prizes, and activities to keep kids reading throughout school holidays so register now.

Last year over 60 young readers registered for the Summer Reading Challenge at Shire of Dardanup Library Services. Our participants read more than 250 books for more than 225 hours!

This year we are expecting even bigger numbers!

Terms & Conditions

The Shire of Dardanup Summer Reading Challenge runs from Saturday, 2 December 2023 to Wednesday, 31 January 2024 and is open to all Shire of Dardanup Library Services and One Library members.

How to enter: Simply register online or at Eaton or Dardanup Library and collect your Shire of Dardanup Summer Reading Bingo Card.

How it works: Complete the activities on your Summer Reading Bingo Card. Return to the library when you have completed an activity to have it stamped. When you have stamped every activity on the card submit it at Eaton Community Library to go into the prize draw. Each participant can enter up to two (2) completed Summer Reading Bingo Cards.

Grand Prize Draw: The grand prize draw will take place on Thursday, 1st February 2024 at Eaton Community Library.
Winners will be notified by email. If the grand prize is not claimed by 10th February 2024 a new winner will be drawn.

Our grand prize winner will be announced on the Shire of Dardanup Library Services website and also on Shire of Dardanup Social Media sites.
