A $180,000 project to upgrade the boat ramp and jetty at the Eaton Foreshore was completed in 2020.
The old timber wharf was removed and upgraded to a floating structure enabling various sized boats to utilise the platform at all tides.
The upgrade also includes a universally accessible area on the platform, which is accessed by grade compliant pathways from the carpark.
Scour protection has been installed at the toe of the ramp along with replacement of the ramp surface, improving two wheel drive vehicle access to the facility while limiting the amount of dislodging at the end of the ramp.
The project was achieved with funding from the Department of Transport and the Shire of Dardanup.
The Eaton Foreshore car park received a $710,000 upgrade in 2017.
This was achieved with funding by the Shire of Dardanup, WA Department of Transport’s Boating Facilities Scheme and the Royalties for Regions program.
