Building Schedule of Fees and Charges

The schedule of Building Fees and charges are determined in accordance with the Building Act 2011 and the WA Building Commission.

Application Types

Building Application Fees

BA2 form - Uncertified Building Permit Application
Class 1 or 10 only (Dwellings, residential sheds & patios, private swimming pools, retaining walls, signs, masts, etc.)

SHIRE TO ISSUE BA3 (CDC) Certificate of Design Compliance inclusive.

0.32% of the estimated value (incl. GST) of the building work as determined by the relevant permit authority, but not less than $121.00.

NOTE: This permit authority certification service is for Shire of Dardanup issued permits only.

BA1 form - Certified Building Permit Application
Class 1 or 10 only (Dwellings, residential sheds & patios, private swimming pools, retaining walls, signs, masts,)

BA3 (CDC) Certificate of Design Compliance supplied by applicant.

 0.19% of the estimated value (incl. GST) of the building work as determined by the relevant permit authority, but not less than $121.00.

BA1 form - Certified Building Permit Application
Class 2 to 9 only (Commercial and Industrial)

BA3 (CDC) Certificate of Design Compliance supplied by applicant.


Option; Permit Authority to supply BA3 - Available only within the Shire of Dardanup. Please check with Principal Building Surveyor prior to lodging application as limited resources available in certifying class 2 to 9 buildings.

 

0.09% of the estimated value (incl. GST) of the building work as determined by the relevant permit authority, but not less than $121.00.


$189.00 per hour. Note: This limited certification service is only available for small class 2 – 9 developments and unauthorised structures, when possible, within the Shire of Dardanup to be charged at an hourly rate.
BA5 form - Application for Demolition Permit $121.00 for class 1 and 10 only.
$121.00 for each storey of a class 2 to 9 building.

BA22 form - Application to extend the time

during which a Building or Demolition Permit has effect.

BA9 form - Application for an Occupancy Permit

Class 2 to 9 only - For a completed building

    $121.00

    BA9 form - Application for a temporary Occupancy Permit

    Class 2 to 9 only - For an incomplete building

    		 $121.00

    BA9 form - Application for modification of an Occupancy Permit

    Class 2 to 9 only - For additional use of a building on a temporary basis

    		 $121.00

    BA9 form - Application for a replacement Occupancy Permit

    Class 2 to 9 only - For permanent change of the building’s use or classification

    		 $121.00

    BA9 form - Application for Occupancy Permit (class 2 to 9)
    Class 2 to 9 only - For a building in respect of which unauthorised work has been done.

    (Must include a BA13 form and associated fee.)

    		 0.18% of the estimated value (inclusive of GST) of the unauthorised work as determined by the relevant permit authority, but not less than $121.00.

    BA13 form - Application for Building Approval Certificate 

    Applicable to a building in respect of which unauthorised work has been done. (Certified application to include a BA18 form completed by a Private Building Surveyor.)


    BA13 form also applies for a change of classification or use to some buildings with existing authorisation.


    Option; Permit Authority to supply BA18 including an inspection certificate report - available only within the Shire of Dardanup. Please check with Principal Building Surveyor prior to lodging application as limited resources available.

      

    0.38% of the estimated value (inclusive of GST) of the unauthorised work as determined by the relevant permit authority, but not less than $121.00.

    BA23 form - Application to extend the time

    during which an Occupancy Permit or Building approval certificate has effect.

    Application for Amendment to a Building Permit
    BA1 form with BA3 (CDC) included

    or

    BA2 form and permit authority to supply BA3 (CDC) Certificate of Design Compliance.

    		 BA1 - 0.19% or BA2 - 0.32% of the estimated value (incl. GST) based on change to contract value only, as determined by the relevant permit authority, but not less than $121.00.

    Swimming Pool Barrier Inspection Fee

    Once-off pool barrier inspection fee for all proposed NEW pools only.

    Inspections include but not restricted to;

    - Smoke alarms

    - Swimming pool barriers other than new or 4-year

    - Compliance Certificates for unauthorized structures or class 2 to 9 buildings.
