Join us for a special author talk celebrating a unique new collection of Australian gothic fiction.

Eleven writers ventured into Western Australia’s wheat and salt country, staying at the historic Grand Olde Dumbleyung Inn. From dawn visits to the local graveyard to chance encounters with locals, their retreat uncovered powerful stories inspired by the town’s haunting landscapes and vast hyper-saline lake.

The result is a gripping anthology filled with mystery, dark humour, and beauty in the most unexpected places—stories set across past, present, and future that explore a land calling out for love and remembrance.

We’re delighted to welcome these writers to our library to discuss their creative journey, writing process, and inspirations from Dumbleyung.
