Discover your Family History

Unlock Your Family Secrets

Discovering your family history can be a fun and fascinating journey. Our Discover Your Family History workshops and discussions provide all the tools you need to unlock your family secrets in no time at all.

Share Ideas & Exchange Knowledge

We believe in the power of knowledge-sharing. That's why we encourage our members to come together, discuss their successes and challenges in tracing their roots, and even share their genealogy research with each other.

Check out the upcoming workshops:

16th of May - Organising your research

It's easy to get caught up in finding new information and you end up with notes and trails in all different directions.  Worse, you find conflicting information and you can’t remember or work out where you found the information to check!   Let's look at different ways of organising your research, and how to keep notes on sources of information so you can always get back to it.

20th of June - DNA explained.

A double-helix night with ‘the basics’ explained and a workshop for the more advanced.

Part 1 - Advertisements make out that a simple spit or swap will take your research back generations.  How true is that?  What will it cost and what’s the catch?  Come along and we’ll discuss starting out on your DNA journey, what it offers you, and what it can’t.

Part 2 - Working with your matches and making those all-important connections – how do you do it and what it all means.
