The opportunity:
- Permanent full-time 76 hours per fortnight with monthly RDO or nine-day fortnight option.
- Level 6 - salary range $85,507 - $91,556 per annum depending upon qualifications & experience.*
- Located at our Eaton Administration Centre.
We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our Infrastructure team as Project Officer. In this role, you’ll provide technical support and help deliver the Shire’s capital works and major maintenance programs including roads, drainage, parks, reserves, and building projects.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organisational skills, experience in civil construction and building maintenance, and the ability to manage projects from planning through to completion. Formal project management qualifications will be highly regarded.
Key duties include:
- Coordinate and manage construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects for Shire infrastructure and buildings.
- Assist with the preparation of tender documents, cost estimates, and annual works programs for roads, drainage, parks, reserves, and municipal buildings.
- Engage and manage contractors to deliver capital works and maintenance projects.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and compliance with safety standards.
- Prepare reports, project plans and tender documentation.
