From Main Roads WA:
The Bunbury Outer Ring Road project is undertaking significant north-south local road upgrades in the Shire of Dardanup between Waterloo Road and Martin Pelusey Road.
We appreciate that while this new road network is being constructed, there are several road closures that can make navigating the local network challenging.
From Friday, 1 December, Waterloo Road will re-open for two-way traffic at the intersection of Harris Road.
To complete the construction of Martin Pelusey Road, and to enable the construction of the new Brysinda Road link between Martin Pelusey Road and the new Discovery Road, Martin-Pelusey Road will be temporarily closed between Copplestone Road and South Western Highway. Golding Crescent between Nicholson Road and Martin-Pelusey Road will also be temporarily closed. These closures will be in effect from Monday, 4 December until June 2024.
Local access will be maintained for residents.
For road users travelling north-south, the recommended detour is via Waterloo Road.
The new north-south local road (Discovery Road) is scheduled for opening April 2024.
Turning restrictions and lane closures are also in place on the roundabout at Willinge Drive and Bunbury Outer Ring Road.
The map below details the extent of the planned road closures and associated detours.
To view all current roadworks and closures, please visit the Bunbury Outer Ring Road website to help you plan your journey. Remember to pay attention to traffic signage and drive to conditions.
