A great deal of concrete works have been occurring over recent weeks at the Council Drive construction site of our new Shire of Dardanup Library, Administration & Community Centre.
To accommodate increasing activity on site, from Tuesday, 6 June, daily single lane closures on Council Drive will be in place for approximately 6 weeks and will impact traffic movement around Eaton Fair.
Traffic management will be in place and personnel will be available on-site to provide assistance if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained via Eaton Drive and Council Drive.
The Shire of Dardanup would like to encourage patience and diligence while negotiating this affected area.
Listed for completion by our during May by Shire contractors, Perkins Builders is:
- Concrete pad and strip footings (below ground);
- Pre-laid services (below ground); and
- Concrete Slabs to the ground floor.
If you have been in the vicinity of our construction site recently, you might have noticed cranes have now moved on to site ready for installation of metal framing formwork and concrete walls to the rear of the building and timber columns.
Construction start of this landmark project back in January, marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the Shire of Dardanup and our community. Completion is expected in early 2024.
