The Shire of Dardanup advises that road maintenance and improvement works along the section infront of the Shire’s new Library, Administration and Community Building on Council Drive, Eaton, will start at 7am tomorrow, Thursday, 2 November 2023.
Shire of Dardanup CEO, André Schönfeldt said the decision to bring forward the road works was made due to the unforeseen availability of the contractors responsible for completing these essential repairs.
Mr Schönfeldt said the due to the nature of the works, a section of Council Drive would be closed for a period of two weeks, until Tuesday, 14 November 2023.
He said the public can still access the playground and skate park, with vehicle access via the Recreation Drive entrance.
“During these road works, traffic management personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow and to assist both vehicles and pedestrians as required,” Mr Schönfeldt said.
“We encourage motorists to follow the designated alternative routes provided and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
“We are sorry for the short notice that may cause disruption to your regular routines. This decision was made as a result of securing the contractor's services at their earliest availability to ensure minimal delay in the essential road maintenance.
“We appreciate the community's patience and cooperation as we work towards enhancing the overall infrastructure and safety of our roads.”
