The red capped parrot is a species of bird native to the South West. These beautiful birds are medium size with a green body, red capped head, lime green checks, and a purple-blue breast. They are often found in eucalypt forest, perching high in the Marri, Wandoo and Jarrah trees and nesting in their hollows.
