We’re committed to keeping our beautiful public spaces looking their best — and Watsons Reserve is no exception!

A few weeks ago, the Shire engaged a local contractor to give the Watsons Reserve gazebo a much-needed refurbish, including sanding and oiling of benches, a full pressure wash, and a fresh coat of paint for the roof and wooden structure.

Unfortunately, shortly after work began, unforeseen circumstances meant the contractor was unable to continue with the project as scheduled. This has resulted in a delay, but we remain hopeful that work will resume soon.

In the meantime, we’ve removed the temporary fencing around the gazebo in response to community feedback, and the space is now open for public use while we wait for the works to resume.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we look forward to seeing the gazebo restored to its full glory very soon.
