The Shire of Dardanup’s signature annual event, the Tronox Spring Out Festival, is returning to the Eaton Foreshore on Sunday, 19 October from 9.30am to 12.30pm, promising a morning full of excitement, colour and community spirit.

Held in celebration of National Children’s Week, the much-loved free family festival continues to be one of the region’s most anticipated events, bringing families together for a day of amusement, entertainment and connection in a picturesque foreshore setting.

Now in its tenth year, this milestone event will feature an incredible lineup of completely free activities and attractions, including:

  • Amusements, obstacle courses and inflatables for all ages.
  • Go karts, train rides and a climbing wall.
  • Farm animal petting zoo and friendly highland cows.
  • Fun games and crafty kids’ activities.
  • Live performances from Nyit Yoorn Dance Crew, Connie Vidos School of Dance and local musician Georgia Carbone.
  • Roving entertainment from Eco Faeries and special visit from Bluey and Bingo.
  • Delicious food trucks and bustling market stalls.

In a heartwarming new addition for 2025, the Shire of Dardanup is proud to support Channel Seven’s annual Telethon, helping raise vital funds for children and families across Western Australia.

A secure donation webpage has been set up on the Shire’s website here, with 100% of contributions going directly to Telethon. Donations can also be made in person at the festival.

Adding a splash of fun to the fundraising, attendees will have the chance to dunk a local leader in the event’s Dunk Tank Challenge. Keep an eye out for familiar faces, including Shire of Dardanup CEO André Schönfeldt, Tronox Site Director Ian Rennie, Michelle Spargo from Australind Volunteer Fire and Rescue, and Federal Member for Forrest Ben Small, who will all be taking the plunge for charity.

Shire President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner said the event is a true celebration of community and a highlight on the local calendar.

“The Tronox Spring Out Festival brings together everything we love about our community, fun, family, and connection,” Cr Gardiner said.

“This year, we’re thrilled to add an extra layer of purpose by supporting Telethon. It’s a fantastic way for families to come together, enjoy a wonderful day out, and contribute to a cause that makes a real difference for children and families across Western Australia.”

Cr Gardiner also extended his thanks to the event’s partners and sponsors for helping make the festival possible.

“An event of this scale wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our sponsors and community partners,” he said.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our major partner Tronox, and to Traffic Force and Meerilinga for their support. Their commitment helps us deliver a safe, inclusive and memorable day for families each year.”

Ian Rennie, Southwest Operations, Site Director at Tronox, added:

“Tronox is proud to continue our long-standing support of the Tronox Spring Out Festival – an event that celebrates community, connection, and National Children’s Week. For more than 60 years, Tronox has been part of the South West community, and this partnership with the Shire of Dardanup reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in the people and places that make this region so special. We look forward to celebrating with everyone at the festival and connecting at the Tronox gazebo.”

The Shire of Dardanup encourages everyone to follow its Facebook and Instagram pages for the latest event announcements and updates as the festival approaches.
