Funny Bones Workshop with Steve Heron

Monday 6th July 2026

Funny Bones – The (F)Art of Writing Funny Stuff

For kids aged 8-13.

Get ready for laughs in this lively, hands-on writing workshop where students discover the secrets behind humour on Monday, 6 July from 11am -12pm.

Participants will explore what makes people giggle, chuckle, and roar with laughter, then use those techniques to create their own funny stories and poems.

Guided by the playful Wordasaurs, young writers will experiment with silly ideas, clever wordplay, and exaggerated characters.

The session also features a special peek at Steve Heron’s hilariously spooky book Do Skeletons Go To The Loo?, along with never-before-seen manuscripts. A fun-filled, imaginative workshop guaranteed to tickle every funny bone!
