COORDINATOR WORKS
The opportunity:
Full-time permanent position
Level 8 - salary range $103,149 - $109,207 per annum, depending upon qualifications and experience
Located at the Shire of Dardanup Depot
We're seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Coordinator Works to lead the Shire's Works team and oversee the delivery of essential infrastructure and operational services across our community. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a motivated professional who can inspire teams, coordinate complex works programs, and drive high-quality service delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and coordinate the Shire's transport infrastructure maintenance and construction programs, and depot functions.
- Plan, prioritise and oversee road construction, maintenance, drainage, signage and civil infrastructure works to meet operational and community expectations.
- Provide strong leadership to Works staff, fostering a positive team culture, safe work practices, professional development and high performance.
- Manage operational resources including plant, equipment, contractors, materials and labour to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Support asset management initiatives, operational planning and continuous improvement programs that contribute to the sustainable management of Shire infrastructure.
About you:
- A proven and capable team leader with experience leading operational or infrastructure-based workforces.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating road construction, maintenance or civil works programs.
- Sound knowledge of civil construction practices, heavy plant operations, contractor management and operational resource planning.
- Strong understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and commitment to fostering a safe workplace culture.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deliver results.
