EOFY analysis of our waste data from the past 12 months has revealed cause for celebration!

As a community, we have taken a GIANT leap towards our goal of diverting more waste from landfill.

We’ve increased daily diversion by 40% since July last year - From 11 tonnes of waste going to landfill every day, down to 6 tonnes. That’s about the weight of an elephant!

And we’re recycling more too with greater volumes of recyclable materials now being collected from our Yellow-lidded Bins.

By 2025, the State Government has set regional WA a target for diverting 55% of our rubbish from landfill.

Thanks to changes our community has made to the way they sort rubbish at home, we are almost there! Let’s keep Reducing Waste Together.
