The Shire of Dardanup’s highly anticipated Tronox Spring Out Festival transformed the Eaton Foreshore yesterday, as more than 5000 people gathered for the annual celebration.

Held in conjunction with National Children’s Week WA, the free community event featured entertainment, amusements, activities, food and fun for the entire family.

This year’s program included free activities such as the giant inflatable obstacle course, rock climbing wall, X5 parkour, go karts, dodge ball, mini golf, inflatable connect four, under 5’s bouncy castle, soft play area and more.

The Shire of Dardanup CEO, André Schönfeldt said the festival, now in its third year, has become a much-loved community event.

“We are thankful for our partnership with Tronox, which has allowed us to make this family-friendly festival bigger and better each year,” Mr Schönfeldt said.

“The event attracts thousands of people, not only from across the Shire of Dardanup but the Greater Bunbury Region.

“Feedback from an attendee’s survey last year indicated their strong desire to see this fantastic, free community event continue and 2023 proved to be another successful turnout. Thank you everyone who supported this year’s festival.”

Mr Schönfeldt said the Eco Faeries glitter stall proved a popular highlight on the day, as well as the Eaton Library paint your own library bag activity, emergency service vehicles and a Maypole performance from the Dardanup Primary School.

Tronox Bunbury Pigment Plant Site Director, Ian Rennie said Tronox was proud to partner with the Shire of Dardanup to put on another fantastic festival.

“It was great to get out and meet so many community members, and enjoy the day together,” Mr Rennie said.

“Tronox has been supporting our host communities in the South-West for 60 years, and we look forward to continuing these strong relationships for many more years to come.”
