Temporary closures: Section of Council Drive and areas of Eaton Football Pavillion carpark

Published on Friday, 9 January 2026 at 8:40:13 AM

A temporary closure of sections of Council Drive, the Eaton Football Pavillion (Eaton Boomers) carpark and adjacent footpath will take place next week from Tuesday, 13 January – Friday, 16 January 2026.

These temporary closures include:

  • Closure of the western car park bays and extension of temporary fencing.
  • Closure of the adjacent foot path connecting Council Drive and Cowin Gardens.
  • Closure of a section of Council Drive to allow truck and crane access.

Works will include the below measures to ensure pedestrians and vehicles can still access the carpark, including:

  • A new footpath will be installed leading directly from Cowin Gardens into the car park for pedestrian access.
  • Vehicles can still gain access to the Eaton Football Pavillion carpark through the entry point located near the Skatepark.

These closures will allow for necessary works to be completed as part of the Eaton Fair expansion project being carried out by Eaton Fair owner, Citygate Properties and construction company Grounded.

Pedestrians and road users are encouraged to follow all signage whilst the temporary closures are in place.

We thank our community for their understanding and patience whilst these closures are in place.
