The Shire of Dardanup has thanked residents for their strong participation in its recent 2026 Community Meetings, with feedback set to inform the development of the Shire’s new Strategic Community Plan 2026-2036.
Meetings held across Eaton, Dardanup, Ferguson Valley and Burekup attracted a positive turnout, providing community members with the opportunity to connect directly with Councillors and staff, hear updates and share their priorities for the future.
All feedback gathered through the meetings, along with responses from the Shire’s online Strategic Community Plan survey, will now be considered in the draft plan, which is scheduled to be presented to Council in July.
Shire President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner said the level of engagement from the community had been extremely valuable.
“It was great to see so many residents attend our Community Meetings and take the opportunity to speak directly with Councillors and staff,” Cr Gardiner said.
“The feedback we’ve received, both in person and through the online survey, is incredibly important and will help guide our decision‑making over the next 10 years.”
Cr Gardiner said the Strategic Community Plan would reflect the aspirations and priorities of the community.
“This process is about making sure our long‑term planning aligns with what our community values most, and the strong response we’ve seen gives us real confidence in the direction we’re heading,” he said.

The Shire also congratulates the four winners of the Strategic Community Play online survey prize draw: Carol Raunjak, Leanne Depiazzi, Wendy Lee and Helen Dovey, who received a $100 voucher for participating in the survey.
Further updates on the Strategic Community Plan will be shared with the community following Council consideration in July.
