The Shire of Dardanup has extended the Prohibited Burning Period, which will now remain in place until midnight on Friday, 27 March 2026.
This decision, made in accordance with the Bush Fires Act, reflects ongoing fire risk conditions and the need to prioritise community safety.
During this period, all open burning remains strictly prohibited, including the burning of garden waste and other open fires.
The extension aims to reduce the risk of bushfires and ensure the safety of residents and properties across the Shire.
The Shire thanks the community for their continued cooperation and encourages everyone to remain vigilant.
The Shire would also like to acknowledge and thank our volunteer bush fire fighters, who have been working tirelessly to respond to a number of significant fires in recent weeks and help protect our community.
