Shire seeks community input for Burekup, Dardanup plans

The Shire of Dardanup today launched two surveys aimed at gathering community input for significant precinct upgrade projects in Burekup and Dardanup.

Shire President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner said this is a chance for all community members to have their say and help shape their future.

"Over the past few years, we have actively engaged with the two communities to understand their priorities for the future, particularly regarding the enhancement of community amenities,” Cr Gardiner said.

“This is the chance for both communities to have their say as to what is most important to them and council is actively seeking feedback from every part of the community.

“The surveys aim to gather insights from residents to ensure that the proposed upgrades align with the evolving needs and vision of the community.

"These concepts aim not only to improve strategic planning for projects but also to advocate effectively for funding to realise our shared vision for the community.”

Cr Gardiner said the concept plans being developed will serve as roadmaps, outlining the community facilities and projects to be considered.

“The input received through the surveys will play a pivotal role in refining these plans to accurately reflect the collective priorities of the community,” he said.

“We urge all residents to participate and share their valuable perspectives. Together, we can create vibrant and inclusive communities that we can all be proud of for years to come.”

Both surveys are open until Tuesday, 30 April 2024. Residents can access the draft plans and surveys online at the following links:
