The Shire of Dardanup is inviting residents to have their say on the future of the community through an online community survey on the draft Strategic Community Plan 2026-2036, with incentives available for participation both online and in person.
The Strategic Community Plan is the Shire’s key long‑term planning document and will guide Council priorities, services and decision‑making over the next 10 years. Community feedback received during this consultation period will help refine the draft plan to ensure it reflects the aspirations and priorities of local residents.
Shire President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner said community input was critical at this stage of the plan’s development.
“This draft Strategic Community Plan sets out a long‑term vision for our Shire, but it’s essential that it reflects what matters most to our community,” Cr Gardiner said.
“We’re encouraging residents to take a few minutes to complete the survey or attend a Community Meeting and let us know whether the draft plan is on the right track.”
To encourage participation, attendees at each Community Meetings this month will go into the draw to win a $100 door prize, with the winner required to be present at the time of the draw.
In addition, four $100 vouchers will be awarded to survey respondents. Entrants must be residents or ratepayers of the Shire.
Residents are also encouraged to attend one of the Community Meetings being held across the Shire in May, where they can learn more about the draft plan and speak directly with Councillors and staff.
“Whether it’s online or in person, every piece of feedback helps us make better decisions for the future of our Shire,” Cr Gardiner said.
The survey is open until 5pm on Thursday, 28 May and is available via the Survey Monkey link here.
