Prohibited Burning Period starts 14 December

The Shire of Dardanup advises that the Prohibited Burning Period will be in effect from Sunday, 14 December 2025 to Friday, 13 March 2026.

During this period:

  • All outdoor burning is strictly prohibited.

  • No permits to burn will be issued.

  • These measures reduce the risk of bushfires during the high-risk summer season.

Residents are encouraged to prepare their properties early and stay up to date with local fire danger ratings, Total Fire Bans and emergency information via official channels.

Campfire Restrictions in DBCA-Controlled Areas
If you’re camping in areas managed by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), additional rules may apply, including limits on campfire timing and the use of designated fire pits only.
