The new Wellington Dam Road bridge is now open, providing safer access, smoother traffic flow and a dedicated walkway for pedestrians.

Shire President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner joined stakeholders on 7 October to celebrate the milestone and this exciting upgrade for our community and visitors.

Featuring two traffic lanes, a dedicated pedestrian walkway and incredible views of the dam, it's a fantastic addition to one of the South West's most popular destinations.

The $37 million modern dual-lane traffic bridge, delivered by Water Corporation, replaces the single-lane crossing built in 1966 and can accommodate larger buses and coaches.
