New kerb ramp works in Eaton start Monday

Works are set to begin on Monday, 22 June, weather permitting, to deliver new kerb ramps at the intersection of Millard Street and Lavender Way.

The project will create a safer, more accessible crossing point for pedestrians, connecting key local streets and nearby destinations including Eaton Fair Shopping Centre.

Project highlights:

  • New kerb ramps at Millard Street and Lavender Way.
  • Installation of accessible kerb ramps on both sides of the road.
  • Construction of new connecting concrete pathways.
  • Upgrades to the existing central median island for safer staged crossing.
  • Tactile ground surface indicators to support people with vision impairment.

During construction:

Residents and road users can expect:

  • Temporary changes to traffic and pedestrian access.
  • Some construction noise and minor disruption.
  • Short-term impacts in the immediate area.

The Shire of Dardanup will keep the community informed as the project progresses and works to minimise disruption while delivering this important safety upgrade.
