Works are set to begin on Monday, 22 June, weather permitting, to deliver new kerb ramps at the intersection of Millard Street and Lavender Way.
The project will create a safer, more accessible crossing point for pedestrians, connecting key local streets and nearby destinations including Eaton Fair Shopping Centre.
Project highlights:
- New kerb ramps at Millard Street and Lavender Way.
- Installation of accessible kerb ramps on both sides of the road.
- Construction of new connecting concrete pathways.
- Upgrades to the existing central median island for safer staged crossing.
- Tactile ground surface indicators to support people with vision impairment.
During construction:
Residents and road users can expect:
- Temporary changes to traffic and pedestrian access.
- Some construction noise and minor disruption.
- Short-term impacts in the immediate area.
The Shire of Dardanup will keep the community informed as the project progresses and works to minimise disruption while delivering this important safety upgrade.
