Intersection upgrade works: Eaton Drive and Cudliss Street

Published on Friday, 30 May 2025 at 2:16:22 PM

Road works are scheduled to commence on the Eaton Drive and Cudliss Street Intersection Upgrade Project in the coming days.

These works are expected to take about 10 weeks, mid August.

Key changes include:

  • Creation of a new intersection at Cudliss Street that includes a right-hand turn lane onto Eaton Drive, a separate left-hand turn lane, and the closure of the Hands Avenue intersection on Eaton Drive;
  • Development of a cul-de-sac at the end of Watson Street and provision of pram ramps and a median break for safe pedestrian crossing over Eaton Drive; and
  • Removal of several trees. Following the intersection's completion, the disused portion of Hands Avenue pavement will be removed, and 30 Marri trees will be planted for revegetation.

Traffic management:

During construction, Traffic Management measures will be in place to minimise disruption to traffic flow. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we improve infrastructure in your community.

Please note, the Shire will start works on the Eaton Dr/Glenhuon Blvd intersection (roadworks and installation of traffic lights) soon. Stay tuned.
