Road closures will be in place tomorrow as part of scheduled road resurfacing works on Hamilton Road and Hale Street, with upgrades also continuing in nearby cul-de-sacs including Jacaranda Close, Palm Court and Tuart Place.
These works mark the next stage of the project, commencing Monday, 15 June.
Road closures and upcoming works
Weather permitting, temporary road closures and traffic changes will allow asphalt crews to complete resurfacing works safely and efficiently.
The works will include:
- A 30mm asphalt overlay across affected sections of Hamilton Road, Hale Street and the three cul-de-sacs.
- Continued upgrades to improve overall road condition and driving experience.
Why drainage lids are raised
As part of preparation works, drainage lids have been temporarily raised above the current road surface.
This is a planned step to ensure:
- Drainage lids are set to the correct final height.
- They will sit flush with the new road surface once asphalt is complete.
Residents may notice the lids sitting higher than usual during this stage.
What to expect
- Traffic management and detours will be in place during works.
- Some short-term disruptions and delays may occur.
- Extra care is encouraged, particularly in nearby school zones during peak times.
The Shire thanks residents and road users for their patience as these important road upgrades continue across the area.
