We know the community has been eager to see the new traffic lights at the Eaton Drive and Glen Huon Boulevard intersection activated, so we’re pleased to provide an update.
Western Power completed the installation of the unmetered power supply on 18 November, which was a key step needed before the Shire’s contractors could move into the final stage of works. With this now in place, cable work continued this week, and our contractors are scheduled to finalise the project early next week.
We understand the wait has been frustrating, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused while we worked through this final stage with Western Power and our contractors.
With everything now coming together, the Shire is looking forward to delivering improved safety and traffic flow at this busy intersection.
Thank you for your continued patience, and please take extra care when travelling through the area until the lights are switched on. We’ll provide another update once activation is complete.
