Australia Day Events: You’re invited!

Published on Thursday, 12 January 2023 at 2:45:09 PM

On January 26, the Shire of Dardanup with the National Australia Day Council and community event organisers invite residents to come together to reflect, respect and celebrate – because we’re all part of the story.

The best way to do that is to do something Australian – get together with family and friends or go to a local Australia Day event.

Australia Day 2023 will provide an important opportunity for our Shire to reflect on the challenges and achievements of the past year, respect the sacrifices and contributions of those who continue to respond in this time of need and celebrate being together and being Australian.

We’re all part of the story of Australia – from those whose ancestors walked on Country for tens of thousands of years to those who came in the waves of migration that followed on to our newest citizens.

On Australia Day, we listen and respect each other’s stories, contributions and aspirations.

To connect our community, three Australia Day Breakfasts are being held on January 26 in the Shire of Dardanup which have been assisted by the Australian Government through a grant from the National Australia Day Council.
