Southern Ports Festive Auslan Choir 2023

The Shire of Dardanup, in partnership with Southern Ports and Lauren Jones from Hope CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) Services is excited to provide you with an opportunity to be a part of the 2023 Southern Ports Festive AUSLAN Choir.
Being a part of this choir is your opportunity to participate in a free AUSLAN course with a festive twist and have the chance to showcase what you have learned at the Shire of Dardanup’s free community Christmas event, Movies by Moonlight: Burekup.
The one-hour sessions will be delivered over eight weeks each Monday from 4:30pm – 5:30pm at the Eaton Recreation Centre (Meeting Room) commencing 23 October 2023.
What can you expect to learn?
- The signing of basic words
- Fingerspelling
- The signing of 3 songs with a festive feel
- A bucket-load of festive fun!
All participants this year will receive a Southern Ports Festive AUSLAN Choir t-shirt!
Participants must be aged 7+ years and all experience levels welcome.
By joining this choir, you are committing to perform with the choir at the Shire of Dardanup’s free community event, Movies by Moonlight Burekup on Friday 16 December 2023. The performance time will be between 6:15pm – 7:45pm, with more specific details to be provided at the course.
