Living with Local Birds: Cockatoos, Shorebirds & Feathered Friends
Join us for a fun and engaging session all about the birds in our neighbourhood! From curious cockatoos to beautiful shorebirds, learn how they live, what they need, and how we can share our spaces with them safely.
We’re joined by guest speaker Sam Spear, a local wildlife advocate, who’ll share tips on protecting bird habitats, her expertise lies in our shore birds. However, we will also be learning about our local and beloved Black Cockatoos and how we may be able to help protect them.
Perfect for families, bird lovers, and anyone who wants to live in harmony with our feathered friends.

🌊🐢 Marine Turtle Info Session 🐢🌊
Join us for an engaging Marine Turtle Info Session presented by the Brilliant Dolphin Discovery Centre! Learn about the incredible world of marine turtles, the amazing work being done at their new turtle rehabilitation centre, and what steps you can take if you ever come across a washed-up turtle. This session is especially important as we enter the time of year when turtles are most likely to strand on local shores. Whether you're interested in marine conservation or simply want to learn how to help, this session is perfect for families and all ages (5+).
