Planet Matters!
Thursday 9th October 2025
🌿 Planet Matters at Eaton Community Library
Explore, learn, and take action with Planet Matters, Eaton Library’s monthly environmental program!
Each session dives into a different aspect of our local natural world. You might hear from Friends of Big Swamp about protecting our unique snake-neck turtles, discover the beauty of our coral reefs with Dolphin Discovery, or get hands-on building possum dreys with the Leschenault Catchment Council. With a wide variety of topics and guest presenters, every month offers something new to inspire curiosity and action.
Alongside expert talks, you’ll also learn about citizen science — simple ways you can get involved in protecting the environment around you. From spotting wildlife to recording changes in habitats, these small steps help scientists gather vital information and give our community the tools to make a real difference.
Happening on the 2nd Thursday of each month, Planet Matters is a welcoming, family-friendly program designed for all ages. Sessions combine interactive activities, practical insights, and community connections, making it the perfect opportunity to deepen your understanding of the environment while meeting like-minded people.
Come along, connect with nature, and discover how even the smallest actions can add up to big changes for our planet.
