Introduction to Overlocking. 23 & 30 June 2026
Tuesday 23rd June 2026

Do you have your own overlocker and not sure how it works? Or perhaps you are interested in giving it a go for the first time. (*These workshops are identical to those on 9th & 16th June.)
Join Lauren from Lauren Jade Makes as she walks you through the basics of an overlocker machine and a simple overlocking project. We have 3 tickets for those without overlockers and 3 tickets for BYO overlocker. If you are new to overlocking or have an overlocker at home and need a refresher, these workshops are for you!
All participants will need to be a Make-It Space member or be willing to join prior to the workshops. Membership is FREE and open to anyone 14+.
If you are bringing your own overlocker, you must also bring the overlocker manual, power cable and accessories including thread. This workshop comprises two sessions over two weeks. You must attend both sessions. In this workshop you will learn:
Session 1: What is an overlocker
- Main parts of an overlocker machine
- Getting started & basic functions of overlocking
- Safety & maintenance information
Session 2: Simple overlocker project - Reusable face wipes or kitchen wipes
Embed your knowledge and basic skills with this fun and easy project. All materials provided.
