FITNESS COORDINATOR
The opportunity:
Work type: Permanent full-time role – 38 hours per week, with rostered hours between 5:00am and 10:00pm in line with the span of hours for a Recreation Centre.
Salary: Level 7: $93,080 - $98,967 per annum depending upon qualifications and experience.
Work location: Eaton Recreation Centre, Eaton.

ERC is a Shire of Dardanup facility featuring a 24/7 gym, dedicated group fitness studio and virtual cycle studio, children’s programs including creche and Vacation Care, cafe, plus a multi-purpose stadium hosting social sports, clubs, and elite level competitions such as the Southwest Slammers and Souwest Jets. You’ll join a collaborative leadership team committed to innovation, financial sustainability and member-centred programming.
The role
Reporting to the Manager Recreation Centre, the Fitness Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, leadership, planning and reporting of fitness programs and services across:

Gym operations, fitness coaching and personal training

Group fitness programming and timetabling, instructors and experiences.

Membership sales, onboarding, engagement and retention.
In this role you will:

Lead gym operations, group fitness timetables, instructors and membership sales/retention strategies.

Drive member growth, loyalty programs and innovative fitness activations aligned with community needs and 24/7 gym trends.

You will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Sport, Recreation, Leisure Sciences, Business or a related field and/or significant leadership or management experience within a recreation centre or fitness/health club environment.

Certificate IV in Fitness (or equivalent), with current industry registration highly regarded.

Proven leadership capability with the ability to build trust, coach a multi‑disciplinary team, manage priorities and meet deadlines

Strong communication, customer service and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to influence and engage members and staff

Experience planning, delivering, evaluating and reporting program outcomes in a fitness, health and wellbeing capacity for a broad demographic

Current Provide First Aid, Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)

Desirable: experience in group fitness instruction, digital fitness software, membership sales and retention and marketing/promotion.
