We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Administration Officer to join our Development Services team. This role provides high-quality administrative support across Planning, Building and Environmental Health functions, contributing to efficient service delivery and positive customer experiences.
This position plays a key role in the smooth day-to-day operations of the Development Services business unit. You will provide accurate and timely administrative assistance, support committee and meeting processes, manage records, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high quality administrative support to Planning, Building and Environmental Health departments
- Coordinate preparation, collation and distribution of agendas and minutes for meetings and working groups
- Provide administrative support to the Development Assessment Unit, including follow-up of actions and outcomes
- Manage documentation and records in accordance with corporate and legislative requirements
- Respond to customer enquiries and support a positive customer experience
- Work collaboratively with Governance and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent administrative standards
About you:
You are a highly organised administrator with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work. You are comfortable working with competing priorities, can work independently, and thrive in a professional, customer-focused environment.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience providing high quality administrative support
- Proven ability to prepare meeting agendas and take accurate minutes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Sound customer service skills and the ability to show initiative

- Level 4/5 Salary dependent upon skills and experience $64,990 - $80,634 per annum*
