The Mick Bennett Make-It Space is not just a space, but a community hub where innovation, learning and creativity come to life.
The first of its kind in the South West! Inspired by makerspaces, hackerspaces, and fablabs, our space welcomes anyone interested in crafting, experimenting, or developing new products in a welcoming and collaborative environment.
We're open 3 days a week. Sessions are FREE and open to visitors and members alike.

Thursday 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Saturday 10:00am – 3:00pm
Everyone is welcome to these sessions where you can meet other makers, work on creative projects, become a member and begin your creative journey.

Membership and Terms

Our facility provides accessible, high-quality tools, equipment and materials, designed to inspire creativity, spark the imagination and drive innovation.
Maker Tools
Fabrication and production: Make your ideas a reality with our 3D printers, CNC router and CO2 laser cutter.
Electronics and robotics: Explore projects with our introductory Arduino kits, electronics components and soldering workbench.
Media production: Dive into media projects with our streaming, podcasting, and recording gear.
Sewing and textiles: Bring textile projects to life using our sewing machines, overlocker, and related tools.
Design and modelling: Discover 2D & 3D design using various software on our high-end desktop computers.
Collaborate and co-produce: Combine these tools and the help of others to bring your ideas to life in ways you never imagined.
The Mick Bennett Make-It Space is named in honour of our former Shire President and Honorary Freeman Mick Bennett and reflects his enduring legacy of foresight, leadership, and dedication to building a vibrant, connected community.
