Youth Advisory Group Expression of Interest Form

What is YAG? 

The Shire of Dardanup Youth Advisory Group (YAG) was created to support and explore young people's ideas through co-design and consultation in: 

  • Youth Events and Festivals;
  • Community Events delivered by the Shire of Dardanup and external event organisers (specific representation on the Spring, Summer and Autumn Event Working Groups)
  • Youth Programs;
  • Youth Art projects;
    • Performing Art
    • Public Art
    • Events
  • Youth Engagement and Inclusion
  • Youth Connection
  • Youth Health and Wellbeing
  • Planning for Youth in the Community (example; public open spaces, place plans etc)

Your Duties: 

  1. Advocate for your community, not for yourself.  
  2. Provide on the day assistance with youth events and programs. 
  3. Assist with promoting and consulting youth on relevant programs and events.  

Your commitment to YAG:

The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) will meet on the first Thursday of each month at 4.30pm at the Eaton Shire Office with options to join the meeting online via teams.

Your Responsibilities: 

  1. Attend a minimum of 10 meetings and 3 events per year. 
  2. Provide at least 24 hours notice to Place and Community Engagement Officer through preferred communication channel if you are unable to attend a meeting. 
  3. Update Place and Community Engagement Officer as soon as contact details change.
