In partnership with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) Regional Traineeship Program, the Shire of Dardanup is offering an exciting 12‑month full‑time Administration Traineeship for someone ready to start their career and learn how a workplace really works.
Important note: Due to funding guidelines, this traineeship is not available to gap year students intending to attend university.

What’s the opportunity?
- Full-time traineeship (76 hours per fortnight, nine‑day fortnight or monthly RDO)
- Paid work + paid study time
- Certificate III in Local Government
- Primarily based at our Eaton Administration Centre
- Start building skills employers actually want
You’ll be part of our team from day one, learning how local government operates and gaining hands‑on experience across different areas of the Shire.
What you’ll learn
You’ll rotate through different teams and learn skills in:
- Customer service and office administration
- Answering phones, emails and creating service requests
- Data entry, filing and document management
- Supporting different departments across the Shire
- Workplace communication, teamwork and organisation
All while completing your Certificate III in Local Government within 12 months.
You must be able to commence by 30 June 2026.

✅ The ability and aptitude to successfully complete a Certificate III in Local Government within the 12‑month traineeship period
