PUBLIC NOTICE

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE & CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS

Martin-Pelusey Road and Golding Crescent – BORR LOCAL CONNECTING ROAD UPGRADES

NOVEMBER 2023 to JUNE 2024

Section 3.50 Local Government Act 1995

The Shire of Dardanup hereby gives notice to the public that traffic conditions on and around Martin-Pelusey Road and Golding Crescent will be altered due to a temporary road closure. These closures and associated road network detours will be in effect from November 2023 to allow for upgrades to local roads, and roads connecting to the Bunbury Outer Ring Road (BORR) network.

From November 2023 to June 2024:

  • Martin-Pelusey Road will be closed between Copplestone Road and the Shire’s Depot site, just south of South Western Highway.
  • Golding Crescent will be closed between Nicholson Road and Martin-Pelusey Road.
  • Harris Road will remain closed between Dowdell’s Line and Damiani Italiano Road.
  • Wireless Road will remain closed through the sections impacted by the Bunbury Outer Ring Road and associated works.

It is appreciated that the local road network is under heavy traffic management during the construction of BORR. For road users travelling north-south, the recommended route is Waterloo Road, which is expected to return to two-way traffic by November 2023. Alternative north-south routes are not recommended from a road user safety perspective. A new north-south local road (Discovery Road) is scheduled for opening April 2024.

For road users travelling east-west, the recommended route is Boyanup-Picton Road or Harris Road and Damiani Italiano Road.

Please see the map below which outlines required detours in the area.
