Rural Street Numbers

Street numbers for rural properties follows a national model.

The aim is to supply uniform street numbers using a system that is simple to understand, easy to use and benefits everyone.  Rural street numbers assist visitors, deliveries and emergency services to locate your property.

Rural street numbers are calculated based on the distance of your crossover (first part of your driveway that meets the road) to the start of your street.

For example, if your crossover was measured at 1.5km from the start of your street, your street number would be 150 (if you are on the right side of the street) or 151 (if you are on the left side of the street).

If you require a rural street number, or need a replacement street number plate, please complete the application form and send it to the Shire of Dardanup and we will commence the numbering process.

There is an application fee which covers the cost of officers to measure and calculate your number plus provide and install the standard metal street number plate.
