Visitors to some reserves in the Shire of Dardanup may come across a contractor this week, conducting weed mapping.
You’ll see the contracted botanists walking around with a hand-held GPS, mapping weed growth and density in our reserves.
This will enable us to more effectively monitor weed growth or change over time and the potential impact it may have on the health of our reserves.
In addition, we can use the information to make long-term plans for their ongoing management.
Contractors will from Monday, July 30, be visiting the following reserves:
Hamilton road (Duck pond)
- Eagle Reserve
- Leicester Wetlands
- Pratt Road
- Cleaveland Bay
- Watson’s Reserve
