The Australian Heritage Festival – Uncovering Dardanup’s Heritage
The National Trust Heritage Festival began in 1980 and has become Australia’s biggest festival of heritage and culture.
The Festival is an opportunity to reflect on the places where we live, work, and travel, and why they are special.
This year the Shire of Dardanup is taking part in the festival and to celebrate we will be offering two fantastic opportunities. Come along to one or both!
Entry is FREE but bookings are ESSENTIAL. Read below to find out more about what’s on offer!
Uncovering Dardanup’s Heritage Tour
Meet 9.30am at the Ferguson Valley Visitor Centre. Tour ends at approximately 12.00pm.
One of Dardanup’s knowledgeable locals Margaret Giumelli will be leading a tour of the Dardanup area.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear firsthand the fascinating stories of Dardanup’s history as we visit iconic buildings and sites.
Do you have an interesting story about the history of a building or place in the Dardanup town site you could share along the way?
Come along, we would love to hear from you!
The tour will be a combination of walking and tour bus.
Complimentary Visit to the Dardanup Heritage Park

Travel back in time at the Dardanup Heritage Park with one of Australia’s finest collections of heritage items dedicated to our pioneers and the equipment they used to develop our state over the past 120 years.
This collection has to be seen to be believed.
For those who prefer not to walk the park there is a tractor trailer ride which is very low to the ground and easy to board.
It will drive you to each of the different displays – please advise if you need this service in the booking comment.
The park has a restaurant in which food and drink are available to purchase. EFTPOS is available.
