Roadworks will soon commence on the reconstruction and improvement of a 2km section of Crooked Brook Road between Ironstone Road and approximately 650m south of the Mountford Road intersection.
The work, funded by the State Government’s Black Spot Program and the Shire of Dardanup, aims to increase safety of travellers along the road by widening the lanes and decreasing the severity of potentially hazardous bends.
This is the final stage of works that has seen a large portion of Crooked Brook Road upgraded in recent years.
The works scheduled for this year are expected to take approximately two months, depending on weather and any other unforeseeable circumstances.
The Shire would like to encourage road users to take alternate routes if possible during this time, however, traffic management will be in place throughout the duration of works.
The Shire of Dardanup reminds drivers to use patience and diligence when travelling through the area.
