Trees removed last week in Gascoyne Circle, Millbridge to improve safety have been recycled and re-used as mulch to help with the establishment of a new verge hedge screen on the eastern side of Eaton Drive near Cleveland Bay Reserve.
More than 60 trees of varying size and age created 90 cubic metres (or 6 truckloads!) of mulch.
Shire of Dardanup staff are now working on sourcing a collection of Hakea trees for Gascoyne Circle to replace the removed greenery.
The new Hakeas will be more suited to the urban environment and ensure maintenance of an attractive streetscape.
