School Holidays

Kids love school holidays and Shire of Dardanup Library Services to help them make the most of it. Each school break we provide a specialised program to encourage families and children to engage with the library, learn new skills, and meet new friends. Ranging from online activities, arts and crafts, kids author talks, quiz nights, and the annual Summer Reading Challenge.

Our school holiday events provide something for everyone in a fun and engaging environment so visit our calendar to see what’s on.

Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages eager young readers to discover new stories while maintaining their literacy over the school holidays. Through the Shire of Dardanup Library Services, they can explore a world of adventures with a range of interactive activities available in our libraries and online. There will be give-aways, prizes, and activities to keep kids reading throughout the summer school holidays so join up and discover something new.

Previously we have had over 70 young readers registered for the Summer Reading Challenge at Shire of Dardanup Library Services, reading more than 350 books for more than 275 hours. This year we want this to grow.

The Summer Reading Challenge starts soon and runs throughout the summer school holidays. Make sure you register!
