The 20th Anniversary Dardanup Bull & Barrel Festival, a beloved annual event that draws thousands of visitors to the town of Dardanup, took place last Saturday, October 7th. Despite the heat, the festival proved to be a great success.

Run by a dedicated volunteer committee who invest countless hours throughout the year in planning and organising, this year's festival lived up to its reputation. The theme for the 20th Anniversary Festival was "100 Years of Dardanup," in honor of the centenary of the Dardanup Town Site celebrated earlier this year.

One of the festival's signature attractions is the “Lighting of the Bull” a large pine sculpture that is set ablaze in the evening, a tradition that never fails to captivate attendees.

The heat didn't deter the crowds, demonstrating the unwavering support and enthusiasm of the local community and visitors. Approximately 15,000 people attend each year.

The Dardanup Bull & Barrel Festival is not just a celebration of the town's history, but also a platform to showcase the region's industry, agriculture, performers, and local businesses.

The Shire of Dardanup wishes to extend its congratulations to the dedicated committee for their unwavering commitment to organising this beloved community event. Their dedication has been instrumental in making this festival an enduring success that continues to bring joy and unity to the region.
