Following its regular five-yearly audit of bridges, Main Roads WA has had to impose a load limit of 14 tonnes on Henty Road Bridge in the Shire of Dardanup.
The load limit will ensure the safety of all road users until repairs can be undertaken on the bridge.
While located within the Shire, the bridge is owned by Harvey Water due to the bridge’s connection to rural irrigation infrastructure.
The Shire of Dardanup is assisting Main Roads and Harvey Water to see if a solution can be found for providing an upgrade to the bridge as soon as possible so the limit can be removed and the impact on truck movements affected by the change reduced.
In the meantime, all enquiries regarding the new bridge load limit should be directed to Harvey Water as the owner of the bridge on 9729 0100.
