Have you spotted a feral animal in our reserves?

If you’re a regular visitor to reserves along the banks of the Collie River and have noticed signs of feral foxes, rabbits or cats in the area we’d like to hear from you!

Shire of Dardanup contractors are this week conducting a survey of the area by scouting around for tracks and other signs of activity or predatory behaviour.

The survey will enable us to estimate the population base of foxes and other feral animals and assist with determining the need for any future control and management strategies.

Control of feral animal populations help ensure a safer environment for the many native animal which inhabit our natural reserves.

If you would like to contribute to our survey by reporting a sighting, email Shire of Dardanup Environment Officer James Kain or phone 9724 0341.
