Eaton Fair will start an extensive aspect of its expansion plans next month with the realignment and reconstruction of Council Drive.
Running between the shopping centre and Glen Huon Oval, the playground and our Administration Centre, Council Drive is set for big changes.
Residents will encounter traffic management in the area between April and July with works to initially focus on relocation of services such as sewer, stormwater, gas, electricity and power.
Temporary alternative entries will be created to ensure access is maintained to all facilities including the Eaton Boomers Football Pavilion along with pedestrian access between the playground and the shopping centre.
More detail will be provided on the construction schedule and traffic management details in coming weeks once Eaton Fair’s appointment of a contractor is complete.
The changes to Council Drive provide an important stepping stone toward achievement of improvements under the Eaton Fair Activity Centre Plan endorsed by Council in 2017 and subsequently approved by the WA Planning Commission.
