BEGINNERS TAI CHI

Originating in ancient China, Tai Chi is one of the most effective exercises for health of mind and body.  Graceful and controlled with a focus on breathing and movement, Tai Chi is perfect for people of all fitness levels and ages. In this beginners class you will be guided through the philosophy of Tai Chi, learn about the benefits and begin to practice some moves.

Join Bollywood Dance Studio Instructor Ro to learn Bollywood basic moves and grooves to feel like a Bollywood star! ORIGAMI FOR KIDS

Come along and learn the ancient Japanese art form of paper folding, passed down from parent to child through many generations in Japan. Participants will learn step by step how to make a rabbit.  This workshop is designed to be a little easier so suitable for children.

SAMBANISTA STREET SPECTACULAR

The Sambanistas are putting on a street performing extravaganza at Eaton Fair! Enjoy the deep, entrancing sound of the drums, together with the sparkles and seductive Brazilian moves of the dancers. The Samba is enough to make anyone want to get up and dance or join in to the beat of the percussion and the drums. For those willing you can do just that! Why not get up, have a go and learn some traditional samba moves.

SCOTTISH CEILIDH NIGHT OF DANCE

Enjoy a night of festive dancing and music done the traditional Scottish way. The dances are simple, interactive and incredibly fun! Our professional Scottish dancers will be there to guide you through the steps. If you’re not into dancing, no problem, BYO drinks, sit back and enjoy the live band who will be sure to impress! Heel N’ Toe are Perth’s most popular Scottish band, comprising of accordion, fiddle and guitar. Their upbeat Scottish music will ensure a night to remember! No need to think about dinner either – Indian curry van Spice Journey has you covered, and a coffee van will be in attendance too! And just to add the ‘fusion’ of cultures – we haven’t forgotten it’s St Patrick’s Day! Don your best green attire in celebration! Just be sure to bring comfortable dancing shoes. This is a night best suited to adults and bookings are ESSENTIAL.

VIETNAMESE RICE PAPER ROLL MAKING

Lean how to make this authentic and popular Vietnamese dish. Vietnamese rice paper rolls are nutritious and full of flavour, using delicate rice paper wrapped around an assortment of fresh ingredients and they can be made to suit vegetarians. You will also learn how to make traditional Vietnamese dipping sauce ‘Nuoc cham’ which accompanies the dish perfectly.

As with tapas and wine, the Spanish have a deep passion for dance – Flamenco being a dance that’s widely known throughout the world. AFRICAN DRUMMING & BELLYDANCE SHOW 

Come and try your hand at uplifting and lively African drumming! Dindindi Drumming will be teaching energetic rhythms originating in West Africa. Drums will be provided. Sure to be a lot of fun! And in true ‘Fusion’ style, after the workshop, sit back and enjoy a performance from Azzura bellydancing, showcasing a special dance to the African drumming rhythm.
