Fireworks are set to light up the night sky over Eaton on Friday, December 7, as part of a Christmas Carnival event at Eaton Fair.
While a wonderful event for the community, the Shire of Dardanup would like to remind dog owners to pay particular attention to their pets at approximately 8.00pm – when the fireworks are set to be ignited – to avoid the potential for harm or injury.
Dogs, in particular, can become stressed by the noise of fireworks causing them to become anxious, behave erratically, bark, howl or try to escape.
Shire of Dardanup Rangers will be on call and will respond to all dog related matters until midnight Friday.
